Huge tornadoes discovered on the Sun
A solar tornado several times as wide as the Earth was discovered in the solar atmosphere using the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly telescope on board the Solar Dynamic Observatory (SDO) satellite. This is the first time that such a huge solar tornado is filmed by an imager.

storytime: when i was 9 there was a girl in the same afterschool program as me named estelle who was hellahella wiccan, like 3 years older than me, and probably a formative influence. like, does anyone remember those mage knight figurines? they were little monsters and warriors and stuff you were supposed to play fighting games with but me and estelle basically played with them like dolls and then she told me all this crazy shit about wicca and summoning demons and her coven and shit. and i idolized her and i just wanna say, gurl if you’re reading this thanks for helping me on my way to being a babyqueer.
